This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I've heard of Maya and would love to try it someday. I would love to try and make a semi-realistic version of the helmet seen in my avatar. (it's a chrome bucket with green eye light) I dunno how well I could do it in Photoshop, either.
Anyway, great stuff! As I mentioned in another post, I hope Adywan will accept your offer to help. We know he's good with 2-D, and they may be all he needs; a 3-D render that he can move around in 2-D. Know what I mean?
Thanks! The starting point and much of it is box modeling indeed plus a hella lot of patience, heh.
But beyond that, I think the key is to have as much reference as possible. For the Ferrari and DV's helmet I had actual models (1/10 and 1/3 respectively) to look at, turn around, etc.
